A Case of Idiopathic Hypoparathyroidism

Abstract
|
|
|
This is a case report of idiopathic hypoparathyroidism. A 19-year-old female patient was admitted to Severance hospital, because of intermittent tingling sensation and numbness for one year. The laboratory examination showed hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, hypomagnesemia and low parathyroid hormone level.
Serum calcium level was not corrected with supplementary magnesium. Clinical symptoms and signs were improved after treatment with supplementary calcium and vitamin D replacement.
